This wedding was anything but ordinary. What started as a sun-soaked celebration at PGA West in Palm Springs ended with a non-stop party that was truly the craziest dancefloor I’ve ever seen. I’m talking backflips, ripped shirts, and body drumming (?!)!
Although I love muted pastels—I was ecstatic that this wedding embraced the bold and vibrant side of the desert. The couple went all out with super bright, tropical-themed colors that added a burst of energy to every aspect of the day. From the fiery orange bridesmaid dresses that popped against the landscape to the eclectic decor featuring palm leaves & disco balls, this palette POPPED with my colorful editing style. It was such a reflection of the couple’s vibrant personalities and their love for their desert hometown!
For first look, we were golf carted up to the groom, who was standing at the very top of a mountain. It was the absolute most epic first look backdrop I could imagine. Through it all, the couple made sure to infuse their shared faith into every moment. Their love for each other and their faith shone through in the ceremony, where heartfelt vows were exchanged against the backdrop of sweeping desert mountains. They never stopped reminding everyone that aside from the vibrant decor and lively atmosphere, love and faith were the foundation of their connection.
After the ceremony, we HAD to take advantage of the reflection off the lake for some portraits (I’ve got a thing for reflections) and then the celebration continued in a friend’s backyard, transforming the space into a lively reception venue. It was a testament to the strength of their community, as loved ones came together to make up most of their vendor team.
If you thought you had seen it all when it comes to dancefloors, think again. This wedding took the concept of a party to a whole new level. The throwback bangers were a great soundtrack to the neverending crowd, with disco balls shimmering overhead. It was the kind of dancefloor that legends are made of!!
M + H’s wedding at PGA West in Palm Springs was an explosion of color, energy, and unbridled joy. From the vibrant desert-themed decor to the non-stop dancefloor extravaganza, every moment was infused with the couple’s bold personalities and their commitment to celebrating life to the fullest. With faith at the core, this wedding showcased the epitome of “best day ever” – family, partying, and the strength of community.
If you’re looking into getting married at this desert oasis in the most colorful, trendiest town around, here’s some information on PGA West, Palm Springs:
Guest Count: 300 Guest Maximum
Budget: Full wedding day during peak season starts at $4,000
Address: 56150 PGA Boulevard La Quinta, CA 92253
My Thoughts: It can get hot but the sun sets behind the mountains pretty early, giving some beautiful creamy even light for photos! There are great spots against the mountains for first looks that they will take you in a golf cart. Be aware that golfers will still be on the golf course during the ceremony.
