I LOVED driving up to Paso Robles for this winery wedding. Danielle & Jordan’s day felt like hanging out with friends in all the best ways!! CaliPaso Winery was perfect, with its Italian influences and vineyard views, since the couple met studying in Florence – it really felt like Tuscany!
This wedding felt like a reunion of sorts, as the couple, the planner, and a lot of the wedding party all went to Pepperdine like I did! It’s such a tight-knit community that there’s an immediate sense of familiarity, which laid the foundation to really blend in with the day and feel like I was an invited guest.
Not to mention the absolute radiance coming from Danielle – it was impossible to take a bad photo of her in that natural makeup and simple lace dress from The White Dress. Her genuine smile and magnetic presence lit up the entire day, making everyone feel welcome. The couple’s warm and inviting nature made it nearly impossible to attend their wedding without leaving as a friend.
Before the excitement of the day, there were also moments of genuine emotion. The first look was a particularly tearful occasion, as the couple locked eyes and exchanged heartfelt vows in an intimate and private setting. These raw moments set the tone for a heartfelt day that centers not just on celebration, but love!
From the very beginning, it was clear that this wedding was going to be a celebration if I’ve ever seen one. The groom set the tone by dancing his way down the aisle (a perk of having a grand staircase leading to the altar!), and from that moment on, the energy was infectious. The dancefloor came alive for EVERYONE, from wedding party to grandparents. I swear everyone was determined to have the most fun possible!!
For their grand exit, they changed into matching sweatsuits with their wedding dates embroidered in roman numerals. Even their sneakers were customized with their initials!!
If you’re seeking a little bit of Tuscany in California, CaliPaso is an ideal choice. It offers a picturesque backdrop for your special day, surrounded by rolling vineyards and timeless charm.
If you’re looking for a photographer for your Paso Robles wedding, I’m looking for another excuse to drive up! Just inquire here for prices 🙂 And if you want to see more of Danielle & Jordan, you can see their San Diego engagement session here!
If you’re looking into getting married at this Italian corner of California wine country, here’s some information on CaliPaso Winery, Paso Robles:
Guest Count: 250 Guest Maximum
Budget: Full wedding day during peak season starts at $7,500
Address: 4230 Buena Vista Dr, Paso Robles, CA, 93446
My Thoughts: The vineyard is quite bare in March, so don’t expect fully winery vibes in Spring! However the rest of the buildings are great backdrops and the getting ready rooms are beautiful and bright, perfect for portraits!
