Kimberly and Ryan’s love story started all the way back in high school, and over ten years later, they tied the knot at the breathtaking Morgan Estate. After sharing every single class and group project their senior year, they were officially a couple, and their relationship has been growing ever since.
In the years that followed, they made it a priority to explore the world and their favorite restaurants- often lingering over long, multi-course meals until closing time. They’re true foodies at heart, and travel lovers too, making it a goal to leave the country together at least once a year. Through it all, Kimberly says Ryan has always made her feel like his number one priority, while Ryan says it’s her optimism and the way she sees the world that he loves most.
Their proposal was straight out of a dream (literally!!): Ryan asked Kimberly to marry him in Paris, just as she’d told him she had dreamed of when she was 17. So when it came time to plan the wedding, they wanted something just as meaningful, romantic, and worthy of their long history.
Morgan Estate in Temecula, California was the very first venue they visited, and they instantly knew it was the one. It had that “wow” factor they were looking for (I’m pretty sure I actually said “wow” out loud when I first drove up the rose-lined driveway). Not to mention, the pale yellow estate house perfectly reminded Kimberly of the home she grew up in back in Norway. The property’s other unique details sealed the deal: white rose bushes around every corner (matching their decor), elegant columns wrapped in greenery, the most picturesque ceremony space I’ve ever laid eyes on, and sweeping, Tuscany-inspired views that made the whole day feel like a fairytale. Along with the privacy they were hoping for, the venue actually seemed like it was made for them.
Their wedding design was rooted in neutral tones, lush white roses, and tons of natural greenery, with a subtle nod to vintage romance, all perfectly matching the feel of the venue. Everything was carefully chosen to feel classy, elegant, and romantic, while still full of personality. One of Kimberly’s biggest hopes for the day was to feel beautiful (and wow did she succeed – she was literally wedding barbie!!) and to have bridal portraits she would treasure forever – so I carved out some specific extra time before ceremony. This is an example of how we can customize your timeline together based on YOUR priorities, not a cookie-cutter template. They wanted photos they could look back on when they’re 80 and say, (and I quote) “Damn we were hot!”
They added in a few surprises too – like a mother/daughter dance that even Kimberly’s mom didn’t know was coming, and a limoncello wall for guests to enjoy as a personal favor. Adding even more meaning to the day, many members of Kimberly’s extended family flew all the way from Norway to be there. Having loved ones travel across the world to celebrate their love brought an even deeper sense of gratitude and connection to the day.
Still, for all the planning and perfected details, Kimberly was most excited about that first look down the aisle – catching Ryan’s eyes from the top of the staircase. This venue was MADE for this to be the most showstopping entrance ever, and it was perfectly fitted for the bombshell that Kimberly is. It was the coolest moment, and created some of my favorite photos ever (as soon as I saw the rooftop deck, I KNEW where I needed to send my second shooter for ceremony)!! I absolutely loved this wedding, and I loved this couple!! I so appreciated that Kimberly was so specific with me about her priorities and vision for her photos, because it felt like such a team effort to create this gallery!! It’s one of my favorites, because it feels so exactly them. 🤍
Every wedding gallery is different - I want to tell your unique love story.
